Interesting to see how this turns out...
So...I decided to start a blog. True, I have refused to give in to Twitter, just because I really don't think people need to know what I'm doing every second of the day. But I thought it would be interesting to start a blog to track my next four months. I also think it would be cool to just share random thoughts, because as most of my friends could tell you, I am full of random info. I graduated in May with a Marketing degree-I actually did it in 4 years too, a feat that is becoming rarer and rarer. I also just finished up a job with an awesome company, who I hope I have the opportunity to work for again in the future.
So that leaves me here...graduated and unemployed.
I do plan on applying to grad school for the spring so I will be working on that; believe me when I say that studying for and taking the GMAT should count as a full time job. But in the meantime, I have decided that I will just enjoy life and see where it takes me...become a free-spirit, a wanderer. Not the non-showering, wierd, dreadlocked type of wanderer, just the kind that has the freedom to travel whenever and wherever they want. When else will I have such a free time in my life when I am young, have no obligations, relationships, or career to hold me to one spot? Probably not ever honestly. I have worked continuously since I was 16; not having a job or something to occupy my time would probably drive me insane. So, I plan on doing three main things:
1. Getting into Graduate school.
2. Training for a 5k, 10k, and eventually a half-marathon(13.1 miles for those of you that don't know).
3. Traveling as much as humanly possible, or at least as much as money will let me ;)
I already have a trip planned to Costa Rica with a friend of mine for 10 days, so I can't wait for that. I am also currently planning a few others trips as well, and starting running on monday.
Should be an interesting next 4 months. Stay tuned...
